She wanted a haircut that is a bit extreme, not safe long layers like the last cut, but a brave and new shape. Because I've never cut her hair short I didn't know what would happen so I draw from previous experience. Generally Asian hair is great for layering but it is soft and doesn't curl or wave. The pictures you see as inspo online are of hair that has been styled with a curling iron and with a lot of heat and is unnatural and unrealistic.
