Người Hán đến sau, qua thời kỳ Bắc thuộc dài hơn 1000 năm, đã cưỡng ép áp đặt chữ viết và một số phong tục lên người Việt, chứ không phải "mang văn minh đến ban tặng". Người Việt chống trả liên tục, đồng thời biến những thứ bị áp đặt thành công cụ cho riêng mình (chữ Hán để làm hành chính, sáng tạo chữ Nôm để ghi tiếng Việt). Đó không phải "được cho", mà là thích ứng để tồn tại. Lõi văn hóa cốt lõi vẫn là bản sắc riêng, không trộn lẫn. Nói văn hóa Việt là "của Hán" cũng sai như nói văn hóa Nhật là của Trung Quốc. Kế thừa có chọn lọc một số yếu tố từ nước ngoài không làm mất đi bản sắc gốc. Giữ gìn bản sắc riêng không phải tự hại, càng không phải mất trí nhớ. Chính việc ép một dân tộc nhỏ phải coi văn tự của nước khác là "gốc rễ" mới là xóa bỏ họ.

Sorry but I never forgave China for destroying Vietnamese matriarchy and also invading them as soon as the Americans left. I feel like if China was more respectful of Vietnam’s sovereignty, there would be less hostility from Vietnamese too! Especially since both countries are communist and have a lot of similarities. When u say "most young Vietnamese... Their own heritage...", you assume those vietnamese have chinese roots. No. They don't. The viets were already a proud and functioning empire when Chinese influence entered. They did follow the Chinese way of governance for good reasons. Followed Chinese units, for ease of trade. Followed Chinese science because China was the best (even tho the middle kingdom give them the equivalent of a begger's touch). But they do NOT have a Chinese core. So don't spew nonsense.

It's funny some Viets think they're backed by Japan, around 2 millions Vietnamese died during 1945 great famine caused by Japanese. Chinese and Korean never accept this kind of historical hurts. Vietnamese seem to be happy about this🥰🥰

it is actually the French that caused this, to strip Vietnam away from China, and lean towards the west. Japan during world war 2 obviously made it worse.
