A lot of people ask me how I got over it. The truth is, one day I sat down and realized that I was giving my energy, my thoughts, my happiness, my sadness, and my time to someone who wasn’t choosing me. Someone who wasn’t sharing those feelings with me. And I asked myself: why am I doing this? Why am I investing so much of myself into a person who wakes up every day and chooses a life without me? That’s when I decided to stop. Not because I stopped caring, but because I realized that everything I was giving could one day be given to someone who actually wants it. Someone who wants me in their life and who will feel the same way about me. At some point, you have to stop chasing people who don’t choose you and start valuing yourself enough to choose those who do.🤍
