lol same thing but finding a place to live. my in laws suggested a place with an application in hand and I flat out told them "I already called and they don't have openings". they seemed in shock lol. like just because you got an application doesn't mean anything 😂

Have you actually tried? It's how I got all but one job, the last being in 2021 which I'm still at. It's not that you'll actually get the job, but you put a face to the resume, and you're not just one in a thousand online applications. They remember you and that you took the initiative to meet them above everyone else. This alone will almost ensure an interview, and three jobs I got in the past were by doing this with companies that weren't even advertising a position. Add the fact that it's now people of my age who are doing the hiring and interviews, we'll notice this extra effort.
