@trebahgarden: We TIMELAPSED the GUNNERA! In March 2025 we put up a camera to watch over the Gunnera Plantation. Taking 1 photo every morning, you can see the gargantuan yearly growth - from ground level to towering overhead - before it dies back for winter. The leaves you're seeing are huge at around 3 metres wide, with even taller stems. The camera moved a couple of times over the year - perhaps due to birds perching on it - but it creates a fascinating record of 1+ year of growth of this magnificent plant. I was there recently and absolutely loved the gardens. The gunnera were pretty big then but must be huge about now. Great to see their growing cycle.
