It’s a story about free will. It’s not even really a joke. It’s pointing out the concept that people will willingly sit back and assume that any miracle from God is going to be some spectacle of a thing or he’s going to I dream of genie it and bob his head and poor you’re off the island. When in reality God uses the every day and uses other people. God sent that plane. God sent that ship. The man asks for help and God sends it to him but because it wasn’t some magical biblical miracle, the man didn’t trust or believe the plane and the ship were his way out. Can God still perform incredible miracles absolutely. But just like God sent Jesus to perform miracles, God now sends Joe the accountant to suddenly see a mistake that fixes the money problems you’ve been praying about. Or Jenny the surgeon to heal the wound you’ve prayed would heal. Miracles happen every day if you trust in God.

I love your videos so much. I recently started building my faith. I'm 27, from an atheist family, and a social science student. It feels isolating at times, but my relationship with God is everything to me now, and people like you remind me its ok to be young and smart and religious. "walk humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8), my favourite part being *your* God - an important reminder that righteousness exists in a variety of ways, not just what Christianity dictates. Anyways, thank you, keep doing you. ❤️
