Its not tourism, its social media. Everyone seemingly needs to get the best shot on the crossing, even though its not even that special. There are better photo spots than standing in the middle of a big crossing.

I blame social media. Notice how everyone was running so they can take a picture of themselves that they will 100% post online?? Idk about others but when you vacation, just get off your phone and enjoy every moment. Heck even when I do take photos, I never post them anywhere, they for me! Also be respectful of the country you’re visiting!

ill always try and explain over tourism and social media is what is a problem. original tourism where people who generally where interested in the place they visited. over tourism is fuelled by the idea of a place, what they see online and just a lack of understanding a country and just trying to have the image of experiencing a place
