@offenceregister: WILLIAM KIDD STOCKPORT HISTORICAL SERIAL SEXUAL ASSAULT OFFENCES In 2026, WILLIAM KIDD of STOCKPORT was sentenced to a four-year custodial term for multiple serial sexual assaults and voyeurism. This case follows a joint investigation by Cheshire Police and Greater Manchester Police into five predatory incidents committed between May and September 2025. Kidd targeted innocent women as they went about their everyday lives, shopping in stores across Macclesfield, Handforth, Stanley Green, Denton, and Stockport. He discreetly stalked victims through store aisles, covertly spraying four women with a substance later forensically confirmed to be his own semen. On a fifth occasion, Kidd secretly filmed a woman on his mobile phone while she shopped with her five-year-old daughter. Following a public CCTV appeal, he was arrested in October 2025 in possession of cannabis. A digital forensic review of his phone uncovered further depraved footage, including a video of Kidd filming up the skirt of a woman pushing a small child in a shopping trolley. Faced with overwhelming evidence, he entered a guilty plea. The Offender Database UK confirmed that WILLIAM KIDD was convicted at Manchester Crown Court: Sexual assault on a female (11 counts) Voyeurism (two counts) Recording an image under clothing to observe another without consent (eight counts) Possession of cannabis WILLIAM KIDD is also subject to: An indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) Sex Offenders Register notification requirements.
