Was this in the Satellite terminal flying back to the UK. We are flying out to the Islands beginning of July and looking at travelling home via Athens. We flew out from Kos a few weeks ago and it was a nightmare then before the season had started. We are hoping Athens will be better.

The new European Entry-Exit System (EES), which for many non-EU travelers requires additional biometric checks (photo and fingerprints), increasing service time per passenger, don't blame Greece its from Europe!!!😏😏

When you were leaving Athens, had you already been processed into the EU under the new EES system when you entered? If so, were they still using the machines at exit, or had they stopped using them and switched to manual passport control?
