PhD of Chemical Engineering here. There’s a reason portable AC units have to be put in a window (connected outside somehow), but heaters do not. For the room (or car) to get colder, then the heat that was there needs to go somewhere else. And they are designed to dump it outside. This unit (just like a ceiling fan) can only make your room hotter. Energy comes in through the outlet and spins the fan (or battery to fan). No energy is being removed, only dumped in. These things make you feel cool by increasing the rate of heat transfer from your warm body to the cooler room, not by making the room colder. So this can’t make the temperature of your car 65°F as it shows. It CAN make the air move fast enough that essentially the “wind chill” “feels like” 65°F IF the air of the car is cool enough to allow that. Hence why the account keeps saying “works great in tandem with your AC.”

Without a condenser, and refrigerant, it can’t be an AC… All it will do is circulate the warm air around you~ They can’t extract heat from the surrounding area, so they will not actually lower the temperature of your vehicle 🙄

I have two of them and not even inside with ac do they form any kind of ice on it . When in a hot car they blow hot . And the battery don’t even last a hour when on the snowflake mood and on 100 . So they are so not worth it at all .

waste of money an its doesnt form ice it forms water that the fan throw at you while driving. an in my car during the hot summer days when its 90 plus out side it blows hot air at you.
