@rabbi.noah18: God’s love for the convert is something beyond words. The Lubavitcher Rebbe zt”l was once introduced to a recent convert, and he said without exaggeration — this person is more beloved by God than you and I. Not to make him feel good. Because it’s true. The Gemara teaches that the ger who converts is chaviv — more precious, more beloved to Hashem than even Bnei Yisrael standing at Sinai. And one of Yitro’s very names is Chaviv. The name of a convert is Beloved. When we stood at Har Sinai, we heard God’s voice, we felt His love pouring into every fiber of our being. And still, our tradition says the convert reaches something even beyond that moment. So when God loves something that deeply — our job is to love it too.
