There are numerous facts to your post and I’m enjoying it. Despite few points which I think still needs to be unpacks, your history is rich. It is a fact that what we put under the umbrella of bapedi are actually from DRC. The resemblance of sepedi (Sesotho sa lebowa) and Kiswahili is a n unavoidable point. But also some words that can help us navigate. Bakone to Banguni, bakgalaka to Bakanga etc. My linguistic lecturer Prof Simango from Malawi gave a break down of how our language here in SA had ties with numerous other countries and how it came about.
