Now let's be clear the issue isn't that the sings aren't bad (except the remakes jesus) it's just that DMC already has a banging soundtrack and spending insane amounts of money in licensing for music that isn't DMC just makes no sense.

The larpers wouldn’t get it cause shocker, larpers haven’t experienced the media they’re larping. The dmc fans aren’t saying the new Netflix songs are bad, in fact most of them will admit they’re quite good. Problem is that dmc as a franchise is consistently bringing in new talent to work with these characters accordingly, new artists being locked into certain genres based on the game/character they’re working for. Now we’re at the point in 5 where you’ve got Dante with screamo inspired heavy metal, Nero is electronic punk, and V is emo industrial. The songs in Netflix dmc aren’t bad(besides the remade versions of dmc tracks) but they don’t fit the series at all besides maybe being in a slightly similar genre sometimes.

I think a lot of people forget that dmc also has a gothic theme not just action and style and I think 5 is partially to blame for that

Nah I think the funniest thing is that they hired Casey Edwards to make Lady's theme (which is fire) and he ends up making her theme like it would have been if she was playable in DMC5. Which HAS to annoy Adi cause he hates DMC5
