"the prince finally had a personality!!" he always did. this movie just explored it more. prince charming was not a focal point in the first movie but he still had personality. it was just shown more indirectly through exposition and third parties talking about him. we have an entire scene of his father crashing out about how carefree he is, how his priorities don't lay in marriage. we see him yawning in the most important ball of the season while meeting members of nobility, which signifies he cares little about propriety and social events. personality was always there. you just had to look for it because he literally was NOT A PRIORITY.

I honestly love Cinderella 2 and 3, because their the same story but about taking a different path! The movies start the same, but depending on what choice Anastasia makes, you get either the second movie or the third movie! But no matter what, Anastasia gets her redemption arc, tho it takes a bit longer in the third movie😭 but atleast at the ending it’s hinted that Anastasia still meets the baker that she meets in the second movie!
