@coachmamaa: Every year, this door tells a different story. The first time she opened it, she was my baby girl heading off to preschool. Since then, she's walked through it again and again—leaving for new adventures, new classrooms, new challenges, and coming home a little older each time. And every year, when that door closes behind her, my heart breaks just a little. Not because I'm sad about who she's becoming, but because I have to say goodbye to the version of her that existed before she walked out. Then she comes back through that same door, and I meet someone new. A little taller. A little wiser. A little more herself. I've loved every version of her that has walked in and out of this house, but somehow each one is even more incredible than the last. Watching her grow is both the most heartbreaking and beautiful thing I've ever experienced. I couldn't be prouder of the girl she was, the girl she is, and the girl she's becoming.
