THE SYSTEM ONLY WORKS WHEN IT SUITS THEM. I am completely done with the bureaucratic excuses and the backlog runaround from Tribunals Ontario. It is an absolute double standard that the Landlord and Tenant Board has the power to instantly fast-track a landlord’s fraudulent eviction papers in a couple of weeks, but when a tenant files for emergency maintenance, they tell us to sit tight and wait 9 to 12 months. My son and I have lived in this apartment for nearly five years under conditions of active, concealed toxic mold. On September 4, the landlord’s son entered my unit and literally slapped fresh plaster and paint directly over bubbling walls to intentionally hide a severe biohazard instead of fixing the leaking plumbing infrastructure underneath. The moisture is actively bleeding straight back through their cheap cover-up job as clear as day. Because the LTB is letting my tenant files sit frozen, they gave this representative the green light to execute an aggressive, illegal retaliation campaign. He illegally tampered with my private, locked mailbox slot to drop off a fraudulent N5 notice demanding six grand for 40-year-old flooring. On this paperwork, he claims he is a representative. He is not. In their own system's records, he has alternatively claimed to be the landlord, the landlord's son, a family friend, and a custodian. I am not sitting around waiting while we are forced to breathe in toxic mold. I have officially sent a final demand letter straight to the top of the provincial government. Premier Doug Ford, the LTB Executive Committee, the Coordinator of Hearings Jon S., and Ombudsman Investigators have all been handed the visual receipts of this mold concealment and mail tampering today. I want my open T2 and T6 files looked at, I want it dealt with immediately, and I am demanding my full $50,000 legal remedy so I can secure a safe exit from this toxic environment.
