I think the low quality animations fit the stakes of their respective songs better, well except danger but for characters like Loggo who are kinda just silly, i feel like low quality, half-baked cutscenes fit the theme of the character better

Reason: The artist who WERE making the cutscenes left the team for a while and when he came back, he lost the source files so they had someone else to do it. (Tho the cutscenes look great and funny.)

its not that they gave up am pretty sure the main animator lost some files of the animation before he could finish them and they were probably also reaching the realese deadline so they just went whit that

The reason why Week 3 and Week J have this cheap artstyle is because the artist who made sprites couldn't complete those cutscenes and were made by other artists, also fun fact week 3 cutscenes were done the day before mod came out
