Girl I’m so sorry about some of these comments. The whole point of this series in your page is to discover all the different neighborhoods in queens and I don’t think people understand you’re literally doing every neighborhood. You even came to mine and I appreciate it because it doesn’t get enough appreciation! You’re not telling people to go somewhere because everyone should do their own research before going, but you are informing them of what the neighborhood is about. Thank you for what you do!!

Giving a special shoutout to the Door. They donated a lot of food to essential workers at JFK during the pandemic lockdown! Their food is delicious and the takeout area is always packed for a reason!

Dasha… I love this video but brining awareness to historically black communities makes black people nervous because things that are accessible to your community, specifically the white community tends to capitalize monetarily at the risk of exploitation of the culture. It’s a catch 22 because this will bring money to the community too which is something these small businesses appreciate! So finding delicate balance between the two is important 😁. Great work!

Personally i dont think you highlighting a place i call home is you “raising the rent”. You’re talking about history and acknowledging its our history. I respect it honestly, thank you for highlighting South Jamaica and all of NY.

For some reason this scares me especially with the gentrification on the Ave and the closing of the coli Block. Seems as though they’re pushing further & further back into our neighborhoods which will cause sooo much issues for residents. I can see 40 being over policed now because others has moved in .

So nice to see South Jamaica highlighted in this way but the area is being heavily gentrified please continue to highlight the local businesses a lot of them are family based and can use the exposure 💯
