as a parent of a child who went through a mac and cheese phase, I checked menus of places before we arrived and went where we could be accommodated. if we couldn't be accommodated, we didn't go or oranganised childcare and went without them dependant on what the outing was for.

my parents encouraged me to try new foods as a kid, and I'm so grateful for that because now I can eat a wide variety of healthy, tasty food. there's only a handful of foods I don't like, and even those I at least tried
