70 divided by 4 is 17.50 not 20. So yall paid 70 plus the tip which makes it 80, then yall kept 5 each and that’s 20. So 20+80=100. You’re welcome.

At this point we have paid 17.5 each(25 -the 7.50 we just got back),which is 70 total (17.5 x4=70) now we have paid the total fair of 70. Now we need to pay the tip of 10 between us so 2,5 each, which means we paid 20 each (17.50 +2.5 tip =20) 20 from each of us is 80 (70 for new reduced fair +10 tip =80).
