I love that it’s a caveman, because they don’t know what “time” a person would be seeing it from, so they chose the earliest reference of a human so even from BCE-CE, they would know that a human was there.

i love that it's a caveman- no one really knows how long the backrooms have existed, so going with a stock depiction of an early modern human would make the most sense

I caught the voyager recording when I first heard it and thought, what if we thought we were sending the voyager out into the universe just for it to be found in the backrooms. I guess the backrooms is somewhat an analogy of the universe, just an endless amount of space where time moves differently
