In CA there’s a cottage law that allows people to sell homemade food. It passed during the pandemic, it is legal.

You can sell food but most states you need some sort of license and it's only baked goods. Otherwise hazard foods, like stuff with milk or such you need much more like a commercial kitchen. I know I'd be leary of buying food off marketplace.

in UK, if you sell from time to time, it’s ok but if you sell food on daily basis, you need to register your business with the council, get a hygiene training and a visit from the council to check and rate you.
