Also I think what is helpful is a section or another hamper for “medium dirty” clothes lol. Aka clothes that I’ve worn out of the house but aren’t actually dirty. They are in limbo in the middle

I have bought more laundry baskets (and trash cans for that matter) trying to find the right system. This actually makes so much sense instead of a pile of clothes that I don't know whether they're clean or not or the cats climb on them. Plus all my clothes are black so it's even harder to distinguish between each item. I think instead of a whites I would have a "can go in the dryer" vs air dry stuff cuz they usually have their own loads.

For UK girlies - Joseph Joseph do a 2 and 3 compartment washing hamper where each section has handles and lifts out separately, so you don’t need to wait until they’re all full. The individual bags are also washable. Highly recommend.

Seriously so good. Gets my husband off my back! I tell him they aren’t ready for dirty clothes basket yet and my chair can only stack so high. But I can fold a clean clothes basket like a pro! I LOVE this. Definitely implementing!!!

I have a not so dirty clothes box. if I wore something out but its not dirty enough to wash but not clean enough to put back to my closet, they go to the not so dirty box. then I wear them once more for another event and then they go to dirty box

I have one where the baskets pull out from the front so you can take them down individually to your washing machine. Also I found that there was always stuff on top of my laundry basket so having each compartment pull out makes it easier for me to actually use the hamper as I don’t have to move the stuff that inevitably gets stacked on top of it!!

my 3 compartments are socks + normal clothes, undies + thin clothes like leggings, tanks, thin shorts, thin pj pants, wash cloths, etc, and the third is big dirty clothes like towels, blankets, and sheets. because that's how I sort my laundry not by color

It helped me a lot when I started keeping hangers in my laundry room. I just hang them straight out the dryer! But something I still keep the clothes on hangers, stacked & laid out in a pile, til my ADHD allows me to hang them up in the closet 😅

I live alone and have Arthritis and chronic pain so folding and putting clothes away is so hard but I’m able to have cleared out one big drawer for my clean clothes that I just dump it in after it’s been washed and dried. Even tho it’s not folded it’s all put away out of sight so my bedroom is much tidier!

Smart! I have hooks on my clothings closets, the ones you can hang on the outside of the doors. For not totally clean and not totally dirty clothes, no more chair full of clothes!
