I’m thinking after adoption they needed to apply for full custody. ❤️I carried my baby 9 months and applied for full custody.. Never married (and won) 💕, that was 25 years ago not sure if the law changed. The law is so tricky.

a few years ago my daughter had her foster daughter for almost 2 years, and was preparing for adoption. then all of a sudden dcf decided for reunification. They let my daughter know the evening before they took her the next morning. this poor kid has been in and out of the system so much we've lost count

Cps didn’t tell me about a court date when my grandson was released from the hospital however a judge had already given me temporary custody. So the hospital showed me the paperwork that Cps gave them and the court date was on that paperwork. So I showed up with a lawyer to that court date and wouldn’t you know Cps told the judge no family could be located even though I spoke with Cps several times and the hospital gave Cps my name and number when they called Cps. The judge was not happy and told Cps they had till the next court date to get the baby transferred to my home or the judge was giving me custody

This is straight bullshit. Oh, it makes me so mad that the agency that has been put in place to supposedly protect children that is so in Air quotes always seems to fail the children every single time. Absolutely heartbreaking.

this happened several years ago to us and we had them for over a year. the mother abandoned them with us and we had went thru the court system. then after a year the grandmother came back and cps helped her take them back from us.

I LOATH CPS. They are awful and useless. I was a preschool for twenty years. We are required to call them. When I tell you, if I had a penny for the amount of times they would be called and they did nothing? I would be retired with that money. I completely despise them.

Until the parents rights are 100% done away with they can come back anytime and do a case plan unfortunately that is the law. It’s a sad situation I hate it for anyone that goes through it but anytime you’re messing with CPS there is a chance of this till the TPR is done.

My mother always said if your name is not on it it's not your's... so until your name is on that court notarized adoption papers that child is not your's and could be taken back...
