Just when it looks like a company is out of compute, they sign a deal to buy massive compute. Anthropic did this recently. It makes predictions like this very difficult.

six months you say? A lot can happen in this sector in six months. My opinion Anthropic should empower people to make $ transitioning business to Claude (Think gig economics). Give people what they want and you will get what you desire.

I prefer Claude 4.5, I use it almost daily; mainly cause I’ve noticed it produces a highly nuanced prose that flows naturally in my codebase and avoids the “robotic" tone that sometimes characterizes other AI models like chatgpt

I don't see this happening. claude is expensive but far better than openAi. I think there a better chance that openai has to raise prices. they are still not profitable and and eventually people who invested want a return.

Claude did a lot of writing for me, this last week is was not great. Today I used ChatGPT for the first time in months and it was better. They are just going to just compete with each other.

Was using Gemini for a person coding project this weekend after only using ChatGPT at work for months for complex problems. Gemini is not ready for that kind of work. It's way too sycophantic, too. Chat is still strong now and I don't worry about tokens.

Only the API is expensive. The subscriptions are cheap. I pay 200$ for the max plan and consume about 6B tokens worth 5000$ per month.
