ds2 is only good if you are willing to turn off your brain. it’s not a “skill issue” at all. the bosses aren’t hard, the individual enemies aren’t hard. it’s the bad level design that makes it “difficult”, if you can even call it that.

As someone who just beat it for the first time this week: it grows on you. I remember absolutely HATING it at this part, everything felt super frustrating. But over time as you get more familiar with things and improve your character the game opens up in a lot of really unique ways.

ds2 is the worst of the ds games, it's got an ungodly slow lock on camera, rolling immunity frames decided by a stat you have to level up, spells are ungodly clunky and slow, ng spawns or triggers new enemies in areas. To speedrun you need 1million souls to get access to the end game, there's not a single good feature. Hell can't even swing a weapon properly if you don't have the stats to use it.
