Lwk the white backrooms looks very chill compared to the yellow one. Definitely see why they kept the yellow; the yellowish tone gives a sense of dread or unease for some reason. Meanwhile the more cooler or bluish tone gives off calmer vibes.

It’s honestly so funny to think about an artist somewhere designing a wall paper for some random company that commissioned them and then that wall paper would’ve been in furniture catalogs with new couples deciding if it would good in their bathrooms only to be forgotten for many many years until today where a yellow, alternate version is being sold as a poster for a movie

Though the original photo is yellow because of the camera, the original description of the backrooms that came with the photo says ‘the madness of mono yellow’, so the rooms themselves are definitely yellow despite the irl wallpaper being more of a white cream

what it looked like in the original image was actually accurate it turns out the cybershot s50 actually captured colors really well and the ceiling lights' bulbs were just really yellowed
