I love them, I absolutely love them and their connection, but I strugle when I see people say "I wish they fused". To see what they would look like? Sure, that's interesting. But why in the show? They're both uncomfortable with fusing, and they already found their own way to connect without fusing... It feels to me like some people think they need to fuse for their feelings to be seen as valid. It hurts, it's like their feelings and communication alone are'nt enough. I relate to Peridot, and it comes to expiriencing love differently too. I often feel invalid seeing it's "requied" to do specific things I don't relate to to "confirm" your feelings... Things parallel to fusing for gems. I feel like people don't accept us, me and her, because we're not going through the same rituals other people go through, it feels invalidating. I had to speak about this, I'm sorry. And no, I don't headcanon Peridot as aroace, it's just that fusion doesn't seem to be something she even wants to do.

i personally find lapidot very cool if they were written right peridot is associated with negativity from jasper, rightfully so, and lapis shouldnt trust her i wish we had a lapis episode where she feels conflicted being friends with peridot after she moves in the barn
