Nowadays, with social media attention spans, even music needs to adapt. Get right to the hook and chorus quickly when sharing your music content, or it will get skipped.

Also, if you want your track using, consider that what will probably end up on TV is the first 30-60 seconds. Because of this, you need an ending that relates to this section of the track, not 3 minutes down the line when it's developed & other instruments are added which sounds completely different. If I can't end it properly, I'm not using it!

I know right? I tell songwriters the same thing - I hear so many songs with an 8 bar intro that is really 4 bars played twice with a little different riff variation on the second set of 5 bars. Totally boring. Nile Rodgers - who the NY Times called the greatest living songwriter told me that every one of his hits started with the chorus! That is the first thing someone hears!
