@alexandrayaeger: I’m the kind of mom who won’t take “no, there’s nothing you can do” for an answer so like….. there HAS TO BE something that helps them/this?! 🥺🤍👀 Either a supplement, a vitamin, something with nutrition, is it their blood sugar dropping at night? Is it a certain vitamin deficiency? Is it an emotional overload during the day? There has to be an answer & a solution #nightterrors #toddlersleep #toddlermom #toddlernightroutine #toddlernightterrors

Hey girl! My little man went through a similar phase a few months ago. I noticed they tend to happen more when he would get too hot. I also had them as a child so I wondered if it was genetic as well but once we dropped the temp in his room, they stopped. We haven’t had one in over a month. Hope this helps!

my four year old had them BAD for years!! make sure he stays cool, goes potty RIGHT before bed- even if he falls asleep and you realize shoot we didn’t go potty wake him up and make him go, avoid too much tv and sugar in the evening.

My son got them around 3! We got him a brighter night light and that seemed to help! My sons only lasted about 7-10 days.

We would make sure my son stayed cool, we didn’t skip nap ( if he was over stimulated and over tired he would get them), if he ate junk food mainly sugars and dyes he would have them. And a bed time routine where he was relaxing for 30 minute before bed helped, we would just lay in bed and read books. Sorry you guys are going through this, it is so stressful

Yes, he’s 2.5 and still sometimes has it but we noticed a correlation with having sugar, being overtired and potentially something upsetting him that day even if it’s only small. So for example he came back from my parents house the other week and he was jealous of me holding his baby brother and getting upset more than usual, that night he slept horribly. The time before that we had a party and he had sugar and a very late night and same thing. If we eliminate those three things as much as possible he sleeps through just fine. Overheating is also a slight contributor.

my 2 year old has these every now and then the first time was really scary because youd think with the screaming crying and thrashing hes be awake but his eyes were always closed and wouldnt wake up without us yelling his name or turning on music to snap out of it. im not a 100% what caused it but it seemed to happen when he had gas.

Mine does but he’s done it since he was an infant and the doctor always brushed me off. I’m just glad we cosleep, I’m able to grab him right away and tell him he’s safe and he goes back to sleep now but I used to have to turn on the lights and wake him up fully as a baby because he would be like.. stuck in his fear? It’s really strange

I've had nightmares/night terrors since I was a kid. It use scare my parents, then as I got older and I got married I use to kick and punch myself awake to escape it. Now I'm not saying this is it but mine are all unresolved trauma playing through my dreams in a very messed up way. Luckily my girls never dealt with it like me.

Pray over your kiddos room & him! You can anoint his room and pillow.
