Ghost trick is an automatic victory as well and victory dragon isn't an automatic round win but it's a match win if it gets the last hit. You win that round and the next round automatically. Victory dragon may be just as powerful as exodia

The problem with the god cards is the support cards send them to the graveyard (not hand), and there’s no engine that gets them from graveyard to hand. You have to rely on general drawing cards, do you gotta get lucky, and any ash blossom or droll kills you. You’re better off using exodia control than actually trying to use the auto-win effect.

its moreso cause pulling exodia successfully is so difficult, like yugi with exodia loses to yugi with the god cards, cause God cards yugi would beat him with the god cards before exodia could be completed

I think in the anime u don't win by drawing all 5 pieces, u just summon exodia. As we saw in S1 E1 Athen summoned exodia by drawing all pieces and won by attacking with exodia. my conclusion for the anime would be that a summoned God is more powerful than a summoned exodia, therefore attacking with exodia would cause defeat. (Also rules didn't even existed in the way they do today, when exodia was still a thing in the anime)
