Id say this is a lukewarm take. the arson jokes where never funny, and when said to certain people and used to laugh about somebody elses trauma it begins to be a problem. This being said alot of people make jokes about harmful or scary things as a way to cope with it, similar to titanic jokes or bomb jokes or sewerslide jokes, at a cetain level these jokes are harmless and only used to laugh in the face if pain. Im sorry your dad did things like this, and im sorry people may have made jokes about what happened to you or even laughed at you.
