That was very weird. I’m super sensitive and I definitely would’ve caused a scene by saying “dang girl! I asked you to watch my stuff not give my seat away.” I think you handled it exactly how you should have and really well.

Yeah I would be kinda annoyed. Like whatever I’m not gonna loose my mind over a seat, but it’s kinda rude if she told her to move into your spot and neither of them even said anything about it when you got back.

I think if she immediately invited him to sit in your spot, that was unkind that said, if I had been in your place, I would have offered him my spot next to her when he arrived, since the whole reason he was there was to meet and get to know her

If the group encouraged her to invite him I could see someone offering him their seat, kind of strange that she offered yours tho. But I don’t know if this would’ve bothered me, unless the seat that had been pulled up was kind of isolating from the rest of the group. Since you’re already kind of a plus one now you’re a plus one at a different table. My thought is that maybe since the group encouraged her to invite him she figured you wouldn’t mind.
