I was so lucky to be in a mostly empty theater, it really amplified my experience in a frightening way. I felt a little more scared at the end because of the lack of people, it made every horror aspect amplified

I dont consider myself a ‘movie nerd’ or anyone whos really into movies like that, loves analysing them all that. So hearing all the reviews i expected not to like the backrooms but surprisingly i loved it, it was so eerie weird even confusing at times but in a good way.

It’s also interesting how the backrooms is described as “telling someone who’s never seen a dog to draw one based solely on a description.” It doesn’t understand our messes it’s only recreating them off what it vaguely knows. It’s capitalism recreated by something that has not the foggiest clue what capitalism is. And it makes a mess.

As someone who saw what the movie was trying to do and feels like it falls short in a few aspects especially with the script and character arcs. but i was intrigued with the atmosphere and the existential horror. i couldn't believe how many people wouldn't shut up. I can't believe I had to tell people to shut up and they just laughed at me for trying to enjoy the movie. I get whispering while and screaming when it gets scary but man why are we talking so loudly in the quiet scene.
