This is how they can receive help without being unnecessarily touched. 🌊 Their walk to the ocean is so important for multiple reasons; warming up their muscles for their frenzy swim and their crucial imprinting process are just a couple! Touching them and picking them up can interfere with that. 🚫 DO NOT directly place baby sea turtles straight in the water and AVOID touching them (Visit my page for more videos on this matter if you are curious). ⚠️ Unless you have been professionally trained and have the legal permissions or are under the direct guidance of such - do not attempt to interfere with hatchlings it is often against the law and you can face fines and jail time in many countries! When a baby turtle is going to the ocean they use the jounrny along the sand to remember the beach. So when they’re older they will come back to that same beach to lay their eggs. Then it’s looped for generations when u help them it takes away their process of remembering that beach
