When i first got i to the work force 14 years ago it was the start of all this. Everything required a bachelors degree and experience. Its so dumb. Even 8 years ago when i was trying to get another job i had to apply to around 200 places before i got 2 part time jobs, one at a bakery and one at a bevmo. Theres too many applicants and not enough positions and its only getting worse

There's supposed to be a line that moves smoothly along but boomers the generation before millennials and before generation x (there are still Silent Generation in Congress ffs! people born before color TV or before tv even had SOUND like the president) are still in the work force because of Reagan's terrible policies... and they're still voting for the people making that pile up worse causing the cascading impact to jobs to stretch now to the point where one generation is impacting the hiring of the FOUR generations that came after them. It's a catastrophic issue that boosts competition for every job which in turn causes wages to stay lower.
