EyeVac. I’ve bought it for 4 other people too. Not stylish, but it’s soooo convienient and we hide it behind a couch.

make an email address for your house [email protected] or something - send everything house related there. purchase paperwork, inspections, warranties, etc and then any manuals or receipts for appliances, invoices from plumbers / electricians / tree trimmers, along with anything else house related. you have readily available access to everything in one place and can hand it over when you sell if you want

This is stupid but buy a set of scissors like 4-6 of them and put a set in every room. It’s so nice to not have to go looking for them or if you misplace a pair. Like $20 and totally worth it.

Do not buy anything for your kitchen that isn't the best version of that thing. Get a good blender, good skillets, dishes, flatware, utensils. You don't have to get big expensive sets. Get one piece at a time and take your time. Good things for your kitchen.

Buy a bunch of chargers, Put a charger in every room where people sit. When someone asks for a charger you don’t have to go find One.

My advice is to live in it a little while. I bought stuff I really didn’t like at first just to fill it up. Most important couch, refrigerator, mattress, the rest take your time

A three step stepstool. You will need it for so many projects and stuff. Not a two step- must be the 3 step. 😳

My parents have a “Home owner manual” binder— where they keep and track maintenance logs, appliances & warranties, closing documents/mortgage documents, finishes & paints, service providers

Spend money on landscaping FIRST. So it can mature as you slowly decorate the inside.
