@208parrots: I was asked if I could help someone with a parrot while they moved. That was Drago, Drago is an 11 year old scarlet macaw. She originally was purchased in Florida and returned to Idaho when she was old enough. She was bred by some veterinarian in Florida and raised at the college until old enough to go home. She has been here for a little over 2 months, she is not my typical bird I take in to my flock, I normally like the ones no one wants. Dragon was wanted but her owner feels she is better off here. He didn't realize the work it takes to keep a parrot, the diets to the care they require. Plus he watched Drago and Bruce become buddies and he wanted her to be in a flock where she is loved by her own kind. He visits regularly and we talk often.
