@smallersam_pcos: How do we stop the social stigma around Semaglutide?? We start talking about the nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes that are required for the medication to work for your body and not destroy it… and under the care of an actual physician. @WeightCare #pcos #WeightCarePartner #trending #beforeandafter #bodypositivity
My mom and I were just talking about the abuse of this medication, and it’s many “new variants.” This is a great medication for people who do have an endocrinology disorder, but not for others who don’t.

This medication has helped me so much, but so many people use it when they don’t need it. It is dangerous if not used properly. I agree 100%. Thank you!

How/where did you finally find the courage and MOTIVATION to lose 260?!! Good for you BTW! That’s INCREDIBLE! I’ve only just found your channel and I love your posts. I’ll be 58 soon and need to lose 100 lbs. I’ve been struggling with my weight since having my first child 33 years ago. There are a million “motivations” that should inspire me to succeed, but I struggle every single day to start. After I DO start, I struggle every day to keep going. What helped you get there? (Note: I did use tirzepatide for about 1 year, and lost 45 lbs. but my insurance stopped covering it and I can’t do self pay. It’s been EXTREMELY disheartening to lose access to that medication. It was the only thing that was FINALLY helping).

I was just prescribed it from my doctor. I’ve been lifting and am in the gym 5x a week. I’m worried about muscle loss. It’s a needed medication for me, too!

What’s your biggest tip for not falling out of a calorie deficit. I feel like I can last for 2 weeks then just give up.

Thank you SO MUCH! I am a 400 lb. woman with PCOS and in perimenopause. I have insurance and my pharmacy quoted me $500/month. And that’s WITH the insurance. It’s disheartening seeing thin people that can afford this taking it to be as skinny as possible.

As a nurse I tell everyone that asks me that if the ONLY thing you’re changing is adding the GLP1 you will gain it all back as soon as they stop it.

My biggest beef is that I think they’re also often being used in a way that eliminates the need for people to actually deal with their relationship with food. And by that, I meant that MOST people who come from a history of dieting are restricting in some way and have never properly tried learning intuitive eating. I think food noise is real for a very small minority, but the term is being incorrectly used by people who are caught in a binge/restrict cycle, and are thinking about food “excessively” because they still think some foods are good and others are bad, or only for special occasions, etc. They are super interesting medications tho that definitely have a lot of benefits, I think sometimes people also confuse those benefits and/or the benefits of diet+exercise as benefits of weight loss itself.

I have struggled for YEARS with weight loss with my PCOS. At my heaviest, I was 190, but that was while on a calorie deficit and working out as much as work would afford me. A GLP not only helped me beat pre-diabetes that I had struggled with since I was 12, but I also got my cycle back regularly, and weight loss! It is sad to see it so heavily abused and pushing this agenda
