i was always that kid in the crowd without my parents 😭 to this day, I'll never forget how bad i wanted to cry or how much it hurt. i know it's my trauma, but i always make sure either myself or my husband are present.

My mum was a stay at home mum and she still never came to any of my plays. I looked for her every time and she never bothered to come. The school was a 10 minute walk too. At least you’re making the effort even whilst you have work!

As a mom who’s also a nurse these jobs will always have space for a replacement to fill our positions. One position that can’t be replaced is ours a mom. Showing up is so important 🥰🥰🥰

Reminder to all working parents also ensure you include friends and family in these events - sometimes you are just happy someone you know is there, grandparent or uncle or mums bestie, it does not always have to be the parents :)

Awe it did look like he was sad he couldn’t see you at first but you can see when he did, boys don’t always show their appreciation but know he sees and appreciates you ! 🥰🥰 my mom couldn’t always come but I knew she was providing for us and when she could come it meant THE WORLD to me !

Man I remember these days. Mom was a nurse and dad worked retail. They never really made it to anything. Ran track for 6 years can count on one hand how many races they made it to but I know they were just trying their best.
