All my teachers said my handwriting was bad and I must not be trying. I got straight As, my handwriting looked better than every single one of the boys, and was always legible. I just write fast because I have ADHD. I never understood because the boys was always worse.

LISTEEEEEEEEN TO ME!! Dysgraphia is MISSED by teachers and schools 100% of the time. It needs to be a Child Find referral for every child that has “bad” handwriting.

It’s nice to hear a fellow educator can accept criticism from a child and actually reflect on it. Even aside from addressing the criticism, acknowledging that it was worthwhile to question authority and voice her concerns is empowering and tells her that you have respect for her and her viewpoint matters. Love it 💛

I remember in like 3rd grade me and this boy wrote the exact same story word for word when we showed it to the teacher I had to write more bc my handwriting was smaller so the teacher thought I wrote less

Even before kids are in school, boys literally are less intelligent than girls, As toddlers most boys will make sounds which the parents can usually understand Hopefully, they usually say a couple words, with the girls by The time they learn how to talk after a while around the age of 4 or 5 they can say full entire sentences to ask for what they want and talk about stuff

This goes beyond the classroom. I’m a teacher and I had my end of the year meeting with a former principal and I had a 100% pass rate for the English regents exam - the NY big test and he told me I did “pretty good”.
