He said he needed them for work. The government couldn’t find them. The FBI searched his home and found them stashed inside. That’s your tax money. While you stress about bills, people inside the system are walking out with gold bars. And then there’s Donald Trump. Love him or not, the man has been pointing at stocks and they have been going up. The government sent $8.9 billion to Intel (INTC) and that stock moved hard. Then the Department of Commerce announced it was putting more than $2 billion into nine quantum computing companies , including International Business Machines (IBM). Unusual Machines (UMAC) surged 58% in a single day on news of possible Pentagon deals with drone makers. Dell Technologies (DELL) has been on the list too. Whether you agree with the politics or not, the money has been moving in one direction. Meanwhile, the internet is full of things pulling your focus. A woman with one hand got pulled over and argued with a cop on video, and millions of people watched it on repeat. The NBA Finals tip off June 3 with the New York Knicks vs. the San Antonio Spurs. The Knicks haven’t been in the Finals since 1999, the last time they faced the Spurs. People can name every player on the roster but have no idea what Intel (INTC) or IBM does or why the government just put billions into it. That’s the gap. And that gap is where money is made.
