Unfortunately, as a society, we failed to stop and realize where you raise your kids matter unfortunately, he was raised in an area with a lot of people that did not look like him therefore, the ignorance surrounding his race, ethnicity and overall what he went through in life is overlooked, however, only understood by his adoptive parents as they have helped him get through this and they see the differences based off his race of course they notice the differences tho they may not speak them out loud, but when his mother said, my kid was not just cargo that was her way of acknowledging the disrespect even from the district attorney surrounding Davion. Unfortunately, in society, no matter how we get on these apps and we say race doesn’t matter it does Davion was truly innocent, not a drug dealer not a racist though not perfect. Everyone said the same thing he was genuinely a nice guy and unfortunately for him because of the color of his skin, he will not be celebrated or talked about as the other white kid in the car
