#fypviralシ #yorkshire #williamchapman #inquest #wildlife An inquest into the death of 24-year-old William Chapman, who died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Saturday, October 10, has heard further details about the circumstances surrounding his death. Doncaster Coroner’s Court heard that William climbed two fences before entering the enclosure at approximately 1.31pm, where he approached an Amur tiger. A post-mortem examination has provisionally established his cause of death as multiple traumatic injuries resulting from an interaction with the animal. The inquest also heard important information concerning William’s mental health and his family’s concerns about the care he received before his death. Coroner’s officer Sophie Corcoran confirmed that William had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, had experienced previous episodes of psychosis and was under the care of Doncaster Mental Health Services. Despite his diagnosis, William was described as highly functioning and independent. Ms Corcoran told the court: “His family have expressed a number of concerns in relation to his contact with mental health services leading up to his death.” The court heard that an independent patient safety investigation is believed to have been commissioned by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust. Doncaster City Council will also conduct a separate health and safety investigation into the incident. The coroner has requested that CCTV footage from Yorkshire Wildlife Park be secured and that enquiries establish whether William had previously visited the attraction. Wildlife park staff managed to secure the tiger following the incident, but William was pronounced dead at the scene. William’s family previously described him as a “bright, warm and engaging young man” who was dearly loved. They expressed their hope that the relevant authorities would establish why their son entered the enclosure. A former child actor, William attended Jackie Palmer Stage School in Buckinghamshire, where he is remembered with great fondness. The full inquest is scheduled to take place on March 18, 2027. The investigations remain ongoing, and no conclusions have yet been reached regarding the concerns raised by William’s family.
