I don’t think the concern is weight. It allows you to fit more into a bag. Of course it’s going have weight. But for a carry on bag, that’s convenient. Especially when driving to a pace. Saves space.

Just be aware that shrinking its volume obviously doesnt shrink it's weight, if you use this for carry on it might be heavy, and if you use it for check bags it has no impact on how much clothes you can fit in bc its still gotta be under 50 lbs
