@swimperfect.co: “My child hates being on their back” - literally everybody. At first floating is uncomfortable. Water in the ears and not being able to see what’s going on, maybe even the sun in their little eyes. Here’s some tips to make it easier for them. 1. Position yourself behind them 2. Hold their shoulders and guide them to look up at you. As they get more comfy you can hold the back of their head or neck. 3. Position them in the shade if possible 4. Sing to them or make funny faces to encourage them to tilt their head back. Their ears must be in the water 5. Give them little goals to reach “10 seconds okay?” 6. Remind them toes down, chin up, belly up! If their chin is up and their toes are under they can float 7. Encourage them to take a deep breath before letting them go so they have extra air in their lungs to help them float like a balloon. #floating #childledswim #survivalswim #swimlessons #misscallie
