The justice system is weird. Didn’t you say your sibling that is out is going to law school? Def ask some questions around before speaking your heart directly to a judge. Prep appropriately. I’m just being protective of your effort but they might not even hear you out before they make a decision

Ask the judge if your adult siblings have formally joined the request and if not, whether someone else can get a protection order that covers adults who didn’t ask for one

Why don’t you expose where he works. If he suffers a loss of business then maybe that will impact his ability to “care” for the kids and at that point I would call CPS and have them do a welfare check.

I agree with you on the logic, I’m not sure the law does though. You should consult a lawyer - ideally one with no ties to the community your parents live in just in case they’ve reached out to a lawyer in the past.

If they’re adults, you can have them personally served a subpoena to testify in court. As adults, they’d be required by law to show up and testify. This could help you to be in the same room and hear what they have to say, even tho a court room isn’t exactly the ideal scenerio to see them and hear them hear what they have to say.

Courts have law libraries and often an attorney of the day that’s free … make sure you understand the legal arguments and criteria for PO …perhaps you can also sue you parents on certain grounds obviously that would be more combative but I agree you need an attorney ask if any of you followers are in fact …🙏❤️
