Lore is deep. Disappointed with how it was executed. They should have made it a series instead. Everything in the movie went too fast with no time for viewers to build up their curiosity, suddenly we just saw Clark being one with them. Poor story line… nice lore

here’s my theory… the Backrooms doesn’t just copy people, it keeps reprocessing them over and over in a broken feedback loop. each copy loses more detail and humanity, and emotions get distorted and amplified. Pirate Clark is just an early corrupted version of Clark, and over time those repeated copies eventually degrade into entities like the Bacteria.
