Thank you for sharing your husband’s story. Today, my husband opened up to me about his mental health, and because of your husband’s story, I felt comfortable enough to ask the questions I had been holding back. We cried together, and I listened as he shared everything he’s been carrying. It reminded me that so many husbands try to stay strong and paint a picture that everything is okay because they don’t want us to worry. I’m so grateful I had the chance to truly hear him today. Thank you for sharing your experience—it helped me have a conversation that meant more than I can put into words.

As an emergency nurse by far the SADDEST and most heartbreaking deaths I see is young men too scared to speak up. I wish we got rid of this stigma around it. Nobody should struggle silently or feel like they can’t talk.. I’m so sorry. So deeply for your loss. He wasn’t a statistic. He’s a human. With real feelings 🩷😭

A few years ago I was really ready to do it & what saved me was my 5 year old nephew sending me a voice message to play Fortnite with him. I cried it out really quick and played with him, and knowing that my room used to be the first place he’d run to when coming over has kept me here this long. Now it’s my daughters, the fact that my 6 year old asks my wife when she’s the first to walk through the door “where’s dad mom” and I’m walking behind her and she sees me and her face lights up..I hope everyone finds that purpose to keep pushing, don’t leave. You are loved, and we are all here to support one another. My inbox is always open for anyone who needs someone to talk to ❤️

I’ve struggled with mental health my entire life and it’s stories like this that really put my life and thoughts into perspective of seeing how much the people that loved him suffer after all is done. We truly are our own worst enemies sometimes
