After freshman year is dumb, I did it junior year summer and this summer (going into senior year), definitely want one at some point. The post grad job offer removes a lot of stress

My guy its just a summer internship and u will get the experience its worth it and you will work a 9-5 either way so better get used to it , but your not wrong either

You should get one after your sophomore year. From someone who didn’t, there’s so many opportunities that I saw for underclassmen that I couldn’t take advantage of since i was a junior

I will say getting any kind of internship after freshman year means you can be more selective for internships after sophomore and junior year. You can select roles you want and w better companies

You will be 9-5 the rest of your working life so yes, it’s no big deal and probably beneficial to not rush the process. You have plenty of time. The way out of the 9-5 life is entrepreneurship, but often this becomes a 24/7 life as you wear ALL the hats. All a trade off.
